Welcome to Fiction & Fable Editorial
Our Core Values
At Fiction & Fable, our core values are the pillars of what makes us stand out. We believe in building genuine partnerships with our authors that honor and celebrate their goals. Here are a few of our top priorities when editing your book:
Vision
We take the time before starting every edit to understand the author's vision for their story. Every critique is tailored to supporting your unique vision.
Strategy
We provide thought-provoking feedback and actionable strategies that are meant to elevate the specific plot points and craft elements of your story.
Collaboration
Our job is not to rewrite your story—it is to provide suggestions that stimulate your creativity. We believe respectful collaboration is the key to a successful partnership.
Support
We believe that the editor-author relationship is more than a business transaction. We love to support our authors during drafting, revision, and after publication.

FAQ
Have questions about our editing services? Explore some of the frequently asked questions to gain insights into our editing process, scheduling, and the value we bring to your literary work.
In what order should I schedule my edits?
You always want to start with your story based edits: developmental edits, manuscript critiques, and chapter critiques. Once you're 100% confident in your story, then it's time to move on to copy edits.
How do I secure my spot in your schedule?
The first step is to contact me! Once we've chatted and assessed our compatibility, I require a nonrefundable deposit to secure your spot in my schedule for the year.
How is my story protected?
Before starting any project, I require every client to sign a contract agreement that protects the rights of both the editor and the author. All intellectual property, including both the author's manuscript and the editor's critique sheets, are protected under this agreement.
What type of authors do you work with?
Fiction & Fable is an editorial service for creative storytellers. While I specialize in fiction, I have worked with creative nonfiction books as well, such as memoir and story-driven business books. I've worked on a variety of genres and have worked with both self-published and traditionally published authors.
