Developmental Edit
A developmental edit is an in-depth pass through the manuscript that analyzes the craft elements in the story at both a macro and micro level. The purpose of this edit is to elevate and strengthen the drafted manuscript to match your vision for the finished story. This edit includes—but is not limited to—critiques on plot structure, character development, world building, conflict, pacing, and voice.
All developmental edits include: 2 scheduled video chats with the editor, an edited manuscript, a story craft style sheet, a chapter analysis sheet, and an editorial note.

Story Craft Style Sheet
The style sheet is a record of the important details of your story—character attributes, settings, major plot points, world building terms, and other unique characteristics of your story. Keeping track of these details ensures consistency throughout your story.
Chapter Analysis Sheets
The chapter analysis sheet is meant to provide the author with a discussion for troubleshooting weaknesses on a chapter level. Chapter-by-chapter, specific passages will be pulled from the manuscript and paired with strategies for troubleshooting craft elements at the micro level.

Editorial Note
The editorial note is a long form discussion of feedback that spans the manuscript as a whole. The note can range from 8-20 pages, depending on the book size and the amount of feedback, and will identify major story craft elements and provide suggestions on how to strengthen them.
