Manuscript Critique

A concise critique of the major story craft elements that could still use some tweaking in your manuscript. A manuscript critique is a great step to perfecting those broad scope story elements that span the entire manuscript. This is also a great option for authors on a budget who still want a quality story critique.

This edit includes an editorial note and an edited manuscript.

"Mallori is so thoughtful and thorough in her edit. She took the time to really understand my story and themes, and then took that into consideration while she was making suggestions for improvement. She really got into the heart of my story and  helped me dig deeper into that. She gives pointed and direct feedback."

Editorial Note

The editorial note is a long form discussion of feedback that spans the manuscript as a whole. The note can range from 8-20 pages, depending on the book size and the amount of feedback, and will identify major story craft elements and provide suggestions on how to strengthen them.

Edited Manuscript

The author will receive an edited version of their manuscript with sidebar comments that offer thoughtful, actionable, and sometimes reactionary commentary to provide critiques at the line level.
